I haven't seen any libraries that allow you to drive the serial device directly with a microcontroller. Most of the time, however, you are more than happy with a USB to serial converter and nothing else.

The engine and the transmission are mounted side by side on a common shaft. The drive shaft connects the engine to a pair of bevel gears that are meshed with the transmission. The bevel gears are meshed with the driven wheels of the vehicle.
